My problem these days is life impeding art. There are simply not enough hours in the day when you work six days a week trying to pay off your mortgage. I remember with fondness the halcyon days when I was a student and did nothing but paint all day.

at first, congratulations for your works.
What method you use to fit your drawings?. How you achieve that all features set correctly?. I have used the grid technique and proportions of human face method. The first one is laborious whereas the second one is handy and precise only for front and side views. I wish you can help me.
Thanks in advance and best regards.
In regards to getting proportions correct when drawing, using a grid or whatever is pretty much useless. When doing faces, always ALWAYS start with the eyes and work outward from there as all facial proportions stem from there. Try not to think about WHAT you are drawing and concentrate on what you are SEEING. i.e. don't think "I'm drawing an eye" - think "I'm drawing some funny looking lines". My favourite technique when copying from a photo is to do the whole thing upside down and not think of it as a face, but as an abstract bunch of lines and shapes.
Hope that helps!!
